Can beans once frozen germinate?


Beans are first put in bag. The bag is placed in the freezer for 24 hours.




The frozen beans are taken out and planted in normal condition (water/  cotton wool / sunlight)
Day 1




Day 1

The coat of the black beans are torn. Root can be seen.
The red beans have not sprouted yet. But 1 red bean coat has torn, no root is seen.
Day 2

Roots have sprouted from green beans and white beans.
Day 2

Day 4
Some beans (white, green, black beans) sprouted except for red beans.

Day 6
1 black bean grew exceptinally well. 2 red beans finally sprouted.





Day 7
1 white bean is growing very well. The slow rate of growth is obviously slow.
Day 10
The stems are longer now.
Day 12
Day 12
Some beans are growing very slowly compared to a few others.
